I’m so glad you can join us for Novel Kickoff! I’m Sara Gentry, a math Ph.D. turned Author Accelerator triple-certified book coach. I help writers structure their big ideas into a compelling and commercially viable book. The first step is making sure the writer has a rock-solid premise!

That’s why this year’s Novel Kickoff will be a 5-day workshop in which I’ll be sharing the same framework I use with writers in my year-long group coaching program, Novel Resolution.

SCHEDULE

Here is the recommended schedule for working through the Story Foundation materials:

***Live Q&A and write-along sessions are listed as options. The Q&A sessions provide an opportunity for you to drop in and ask your questions in a group call. The write-along sessions are part of my Write On accountability calls, which writers attend and work independently for an hour. Links for live calls will be included in your Novel Kickoff emails. No live calls will be recorded.

Day 1 (Monday) - Watch the Day 1 video that explains the Story Foundation framework. Complete the first element of your Story Foundation. Optional: Attend a live Q&A session at 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT.

Day 2 (Tuesday) - Watch the Day 2 video that teaches you how to build on your idea. Complete the second element of your Story Foundation. Optional: Attend a write-along session at 10 am ET / 7 am PT.

Day 3 (Wednesday) - Watch the Day 3 video that shows you how to create a strong premise. Complete the third element of your Story Foundation.

Day 4 (Thursday) - Watch the Day 4 video that talks about craft choices you’ll need to make for your story. Complete the CRAFT questions in your workbook. Optional: Attend a write-along session at noon ET / 9 am PT and/or attend a live Q&A session at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.

Day 5 (Friday) - Watch the Day 5 video that shows you how to make sure everything works well together. Revise your Story Foundation as needed. Optional: Attend a write-along session at 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT.

Day 6 (Saturday) - Optional: Attend a live Q&A session at 11 am ET / 8 am PT.
